The Pronto app offers quick home services, with infrastructure designed to bridge the gap between working professionals and Indian households. To expand its workforce and service centres, Pronto recently secured funding. It is still emerging and aims to create a meaningful impact in the on-demand home-services space. It serves as a win-win platform for domestic workers and families across India.

Pronto is a 10-minute home-service provider app founded by Anjali Sardana in 2024. General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital co-funded $11 million in a Series A round. Bain Capital Ventures, an existing investor, reaffirmed its support by participating in the round. Domestic help is crucial in fast-paced cities; it’s the invisible infrastructure that keeps households moving. Because the instant home-service market is still largely unexplored, it has significant growth potential.

What distinguishes Pronto?

Pronto’s infrastructure manages end-to-end operations—from hiring and onboarding to safety standards and background checks on workers. It leverages neighbourhood-based domestic workers who can provide 10-minute home services. Rather than aggregating freelancers, Pronto builds a shift-based workforce. Its flagship offering focuses on daily household chores.
“Pronto is creating something novel for India: an infrastructure layer for domestic help that brings structure to traditionally informal markets,” commented Neeraj Arora, Managing Director at General Catalyst. “Anjali demonstrates the obsessive focus, clarity of thought, and large-scale vision with urgency that defines what we believe to be exceptional founders. This shift-based model creates predictable incomes for workers while delivering reliability for households, representing the infrastructure-building companies we back: those creating new economic frameworks across India’s expanding urban centers.”

How will the funds be deployed?

Pronto currently operates six hubs in Gurugram, handling 1,000–2,000 bookings per day. With the latest funding, the company plans to expand aggressively in Mumbai and Bengaluru over the next 12–18 months. Pronto’s 260% valuation jump from $12.5million to $45 million in three months showed how well India is adapting to fast services. This also reflects investors’ confidence, “Pronto’s execution across product and growth is exceptional,” said Paul Hudson, Founder & CIO at Glade Brook Capital. “Anjali and the Pronto team are building stakeholder trust and customer delight through operational excellence and speed. Pronto is not another home-help app – it’s rapidly becoming a consumer infrastructure platform that delivers meaningful work opportunities and helps meet the daily needs of urban families.”

The investment will also help onboard 10,000 additional professionals through training and tech enablement. The app is well-structured to assign tasks and manage attendance. Sardana explained, “We believe there’s incentive alignment with our value-based pricing model. As price is based on tasks rather than time, giving customers certainty on what will get done and building trust,”

Pronto provides services that benefit both workers and consumers. This fosters trust and consistency, which are especially important in Indian households. The investment comes at a time when Business is India-focused as it rejects US funds to avoid hefty tax. Pronto aims to expand operations and improve workers’ financial access—such as access to health insurance and credit. Pronto is still emerging but has a clear vision to provide reliable, high-quality, tech-enabled services in the on-demand home-services market.
